I had a nine-hour layover after a long-haul flight from Europe. The day room let me sleep for four hours properly, shower and arrive at my next gate feeling like myself again. The woman at the desk set a wake-up call without me having to ask twice and the room was dark and quiet in a way hotel rooms rarely are. Worth every baht.

I stay here whenever I have a connecting flight through Chiang Mai. The overnight option with the shuttle has simplified my travel considerably. I arrive, hand over my bag, sleep, have breakfast in the morning and the car is outside when I come downstairs. Breakfast could be a little more varied but it is adequate for 5am.

Travelling with two children aged 7 and 10, our connection was 18 hours. The Long Layover Suite gave the children their own space to read and nap while my husband and I could actually sleep. I used the day room for a six-hour stop on a tight business schedule. The Wi-Fi was reliable enough to handle video calls, which is not always the case at hotels in transit zones. The shower was genuinely good — proper pressure, hot water immediately. Small things but they matter when you have another four hours of travel ahead.

My flight was delayed by two hours and the staff adjusted everything without me having to explain it three times. The shuttle was held, the room extended and they brought tea while I waited. Our family used the suite during a 20-hour connection on the way back from Sri Lanka. We were tired and the children were not in good spirits. Day room from 03:00
The day room was opened at 03:00 to coincide with the flight arrival. Tea was ready. The guest slept until 10:00, worked at the desk until 12:00 and was driven to the terminal at 13:00.
Rested, on time, no logistics
The guest arrived in Kathmandu refreshed rather than depleted. He has used the day room on three subsequent transits through Chiang Mai. "It just removes one problem entirely," was how he put it in his review.

The suite was confirmed with check-in timed to their arrival. Meals were prepared for all four guests. The children used the sitting area and the parents slept in shifts. A car was arranged for 05:30 the following morning.
